NPRA EMBARKS ON FOLLOW UP OUTREACH PROGRAMME IN KUMASI AHEAD OF ITS PLANS TO OPEN AN OFFICE IN JANUARY
The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) on the 2nd and 3rd December, 2015 educated formal and informal sector workers at its second round of an outreach programme in Kumasi Metropolis and its environs on the 3-tier pension scheme which saw over 400 workers and employers participating in both fora.
NPRA PUBLIC NOTICE ON SANCTIONS REGIME
TIn accordance with sections 7(q) and 197 of the National Pensions Act, 2008 (Act 766), the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) will implement a Sanctions Regime starting from 1st October, 2015. The Sanctions Regime is aimed at achieving full compliance with the National Pensions Act, 2008 (Act 766) and associated Regulations and Guidelines.
REGISTRATION OF MANDATORY 2ND TIER OCCUPATIONAL PENSION SCHEME
NPRA wishes to inform employers, workers and the general public that, SSNIT will continue to collect the mandatory 5% tier 2 contributions from employers without any registered schemes, after 31st December 2013 for a transitional period.
