Alex Frimpong has over 22 years of hands-on experience in human resource management and industrial relations both in public and private sector organisations. Over the last 15 years, he has been rendering a wide range of professional, advisory and consultancy services to Employers on the formulation and implementation of industrial relations strategy, social and labour policy, settlement of industrial disputes, compensation management in organisations spanning entire sectors of the national economy in Ghana.

He has also acted as advisor to many Employers in the areas of collective bargaining, joint consultations with union representation, employee engagements/separation and socially- sensitive restructuring, workforce analysis, corporate governance and matters related to general management.

Alex has a deep knowledge, understanding, appreciation and experience of Ghanaian labour legislation, case law and systems, labour market policy dynamics and negotiation skills especially in collective bargaining. Alex has served as special advisor to various organisations involved in industrial disputes with their workers. He has also successfully led client management teams in their negotiations with various Unions.

Alex has attended numerous seminars, workshops and conferences at both local and international levels, which have enriched his knowledge and broadened his understanding on industrial relations and people management issues within the Ghanaian and international contexts.

Alex is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Employers’ Association. He also had previous working experience in the timber, aviation and mining industries. He is a lawyer with a special interest in employment law.
