Mr. Akature Ania is a seasoned Human Resources and Administration leader with over twenty-eight years of progressive experience spanning Ghana’s public and private sectors. A graduate of the University of Ghana with a Master of Public Administration, he combines academic rigor with practical expertise to deliver transformative HR strategies that drive organizational growth and compliance.

Currently serving as Director of Human Resources and Administration at the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Mr. Ania has previously held senior leadership roles with multinational and local organizations, including Dangote Cement Ghana, Accra Brewery Limited, and Voltic (GH) under SABMiller Plc, now ABInBev. His career reflects a consistent record of building high-performing teams, shaping governance frameworks, and championing employee well-being initiatives.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Mr. Ania contributes significantly to national labor and governance discourse. He serves on the Greater Accra Regional Committee of the National Labour Commission and the HR and Governance Committee of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training. His influence extends to industry associations, having been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Ghana, and a former trustee of the United Pension Trustees as well as the Ghana Business Coalition on Employee Well-being.

Academically grounded and professionally accomplished, Mr. Ania began his career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ghana’s Sociology Department during his national service. This experience reinforced his understanding of organizational dynamics and deepened his commitment to supporting people and strengthening institutions.

Through his leadership at the NPRA, Mr. Ania continues to champion progressive HR practices that build institutional capacity, strengthen governance structures, and support the broader vision of securing the retirement future of every Ghanaian worker.
