New Post NPRA Pays Courtesy Call on Minister of Education; Donates 10,000 Exercise Books to Support Pension Awareness in TVET Schools

The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, to announce plans of donating 10,000 branded exercise books to selected Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) schools across the country.
Welcoming the NPRA delegation, the Minister commended the Authority for the initiative, noting that it would contribute to both teaching and learning in schools while also advancing financial literacy. He encouraged NPRA to further strengthen its regulatory mandate and intensify pension sensitisation across the nation.
The branded exercise books go beyond classroom use; each contains simplified information on Ghana’s 3-Tier Pension Scheme, designed to help students appreciate the importance of pensions and retirement planning from an early age.
During the meeting, the NPRA leadership also discussed a forward-looking proposal with the Minister: the introduction of a course on pensions at the secondary, vocational and tertiary levels. This initiative is expected to equip the youth with practical financial knowledge and foster a culture of retirement preparedness.
The courtesy call forms part of NPRA’s broader mandate of promoting pension awareness and ensuring retirement income security for all Ghanaians.
