The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) participated in the 3-day Kwahu Business Forum held under the theme “The Future of Business: Scaling Up Local Enterprise.”

The Forum was organised to promote entrepreneurship and business growth in Ghana by providing a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises to engage with investors, financial institutions, and policymakers, for inclusive economic development.

The participation of the Authority was essential to educate businesses owners and workers, particularly within the informal and SME sectors, on the importance of pensions and the three-tier pension scheme, as well as to promote employer compliance and voluntary pension enrolment in line with the Authority’s objective of ensuring retirement income security for Ghanaian workers.

The Authority mounted a stand to engage participants, attracting significant interest and key personalities including Hon. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, and Ms. Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew Appiah-Oppong, Legal Advisor to the President. H.E. John Dramani Mahama also visited and commended the Authority’s work.

At a roundtable discussion, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama referenced NPRA’s role and underscored the need for collaboration among regulators to maintain financial sector stability for the development of the Ghanaian economy.
